Do you have redeemable cans and bottles piling up? We will take them off your hands for you! Every November we make a big donation to Oregon Bottle Drop as part of their Holiday Give event. Feel free to bring them to the SECO meeting, Bingo Night, or text 503-317-6087 for a porch pick up.

📚Oregon Battle of the Books
Shaver is participating in the Oregon Battle of the Books for our second year! Our 3rd-5th graders will have the opportunity to read these books and compete. Getting books into the hands of students is so incredible. We ALMOST have all the books we need. If you would like to donate books to our Shaver Tigers, we would be so incredibly grateful. Books can be purchased and sent directly to the school using the link below.

Our next Shaver Elementary Community Organization (SECO) meeting will be tomorrow, Thursday, October 15th at 6:00 pm in the Shaver library. Childcare and pizza dinner are provided. This is a place where parents, community members, teachers, and school staff come together to talk about current happenings at the school, ask questions, or help develop ways to benefit the school and our kids. Want to be in the loop of what's happening in the school? This is the ultimate place to be "in the know!"

🎟️ Join SECO for our annual fun night of BINGO, pizza, & lots of prizes! Suggested donation is $2 per person. There will be an additional special raffle for 2 tickets to a Portland Center Stage show 🎭!

Doors open at 6 pm on Friday October 23rd & BINGO numbers will start being called by 6:30 pm. Students must be accompanied by an adult.

It is a great idea to have student’s names inside their clothes & lunch boxes! Makes it easier to reunite students with their lost items.

October is here & Oregon Battle for the Books (OBOB) prep is underway. Help our students gear up for it by purchasing the last remaining books.

Tomorrow (9/22) is Back to School Night from 5:30-7pm! Come by to say hello, get some SECO wear, & tour the school!

We’ll have a table out with our Shaver Elementary shirts & hoodies available for purchase. We have both pull over & zip up hoodie styles. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
