CI President Hai Wang invites all members of The Combustion Institute to join the upcoming CI Members Meeting!

Held every two years, the Members Meeting is an opportunity to hear updates on the Institute’s activities and operations, learn about current and future initiatives, ask questions, and share your feedback.

Your engagement helps support the CI’s mission, governance, and continued development. We hope members from around the world will take part!

There is one month remaining to submit your abstract for the 2nd SSCI Annual Combustion Meeting, taking place on 16 November 2026 at CREATE Tower in Singapore.

The Combustion Institute is seeking individuals interested in serving on the Women in Combustion (WiC) Advisory Committee.

Committee members will help identify and advance the needs of women in combustion, contributing ideas and recommendations that foster meaningful, positive change across our community. Focus areas may include symposia programming, awards and recognition, outreach, mentoring, and educational initiatives.

If you are passionate about strengthening opportunities, visibility, and support for women in combustion, we encourage you to express your interest.

Complete the WiC Advisory Committee Call for Interest form by 23:59 EST on 18 October 2026.

A Week to Remember.

The 41st International Symposium on Combustion brought researchers, engineers, students, and industry leaders from around the world to Kyoto for six days of ideas, discovery, and connection.

From Keynotes and technical sessions, to posters, Mini Symposia, and Work-in-Progress presentations, the week showcased the incredible breadth of our community. Science brings us together. People make the community.
