Saltworks School Assemblies Saltworks School Assemblies: Believing that students can be changed positively through the power of live theater.

Saltworks has been performing plays about pertinent social issues for K-12 audiences for over thirty years. Our shows focus on obstacles students face on a daily basis, like bullying, peer pressure, internet safety, and substance abuse. Each assembly runs an hour long and consists of a play performed by five professional actors and a Q&A session which allows audiences to explore and discuss the is

sues raised. We firmly believe that live theater is the perfect vehicle for educating students about these issues since it allows us the opportunity to present them with characters they can recognize and identify with, specific examples of both positive and negative actions and their consequences, and a springboard for questions and discussion. Check out our website (www.saltworks.org) for more information or to book a show! Like our page for resources for parents, educators, and students and for behind the scenes peeks at our tour actors!
