Solo Spotlight! 🌟

Carter Smeal is a 6 year member of TRYPO and will be graduating this spring from Baldwin High School. Carter is 2025-26 Concerto Competition winner and has excelled in numerous local and state ensembles and competitions.

Carter will perform the 1st movement of Lalo’s Cello Concerto in D Minor along with YPO next Saturday at Heinz Hall 🎶

Solo Spotlight! 🌟

Dennis O'Boyle joined the second violin section of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in the fall of 2000, and is currently Assistant Principal Second Violin. He has been a violin coach for the Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra since 2009, and his son, Henry, was in the violin sections of Symphonette and YPO between 2017-2022. 🎻

Mr. O'Boyle will perform Saint-Saëns' "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso in A minor, Op. 28" with YPO, under the direction of Music Director Brian Worsdale.
