Earthen Vessels Outreach

Earthen Vessels Outreach Earthen Vessels Outreach is an organic organization that longs to be and shine forth the "Light of Christ" in the world!

Earthen Vessels Outreach is a Christ centered organization that seeks to enhance and transform the lives and communities we serve (the Bloomfield, Garfield and Friendship neighborhoods of Pittsburgh) through its programs and people. At the core of who we are is a belief that this is a divine work that starts with our children and families and that this ministry must be holistic (ministering to the spirit, soul and body of the person). We take to heart the African Proverb "that it takes a community to raise a child". Two of our passions are to serve the family, children and struggling ones of our community and for reconciliation among all people.

1. We serve the family, children and struggling ones of our community through our people and programs. For children and families we offer After-School, Summer Day Camp, Performing Arts, Youth Basketball and Youth Programs. We believe that it takes a community to raise a child and our vision is to build and strengthen this community in the East End through holistic programs and ministry that minister to the whole person.

2. We work for reconciliation among all people: men and women, young and old, white and black, rich and poor. We do this by being a part of the greater community in all we do and by finding ways to bring people and organizations together for the common good.

Please join us in celebrating our very own Tercell Wilson, winner of the Fred Rogers Institute Helper Award! Tercell is one of only 14 individuals selected from across the nation to receive this prestigious award. The Fred Rogers Institute Helper award is in honor of Tercell’s tireless service to be a good neighbor to those in our community in all that he does, which includes feeding so many as well as his work in our after school program with driving, teaching, and mentoring. Tercell is truly a blessing to our community! Congratulations, Tercell!
