Two veterans with prosthetic knee issues led to a discovery that could improve care for thousands.

At Salisbury VA, clinicians observed that the Quattro microprocessor knee wasn't functioning properly for two patients. Rather than simply making adjustments, the team collaborated with the manufacturer to investigate thoroughly and discovered the problem affected others as well.

This story highlights the value of personalized prosthetic care and how focusing on a few patients can lead to improvements that benefit many beyond one clinic.
