We're excited to have organizations from across Allegheny County joining us, and there's still room for more voices at the table, so please sign up and share. Registration closes tomorrow, Wednesday, October 14, at 4 PM!

A special invitation to the service provider agencies that make Allegheny County's safety net stronger for our neighbors!

Tomorrow is the last day to register for the first-ever One Roof Service Provider Summit, happening Thursday, October 15!

When resources get scarce, organizations and causes are too often pushed into competition at exactly the moment the people we serve most need us to collaborate.

The One Roof Provider Summit is an opportunity to push back against that.

We're bringing together frontline staff and organizational leaders from across service sectors to talk about the challenges our neighbors are facing, how housing instability intersects with all of our work, and how we can better coordinate our efforts, support one another, and strengthen the safety net we collectively provide.

Because while our areas of expertise may be siloed, the people we serve are not!

We're excited to have organizations from across Allegheny County joining us, and there's still room for more voices at the table. We'd especially love to have both frontline staff and leadership represented!

Thursday, October 15 | 8:30 a.m.–2 p.m.
Commonwealth Charter Academy, Homestead
Breakfast and lunch provided! (Thanks to Human Services Center Mon Valley's Mon Valley Provider Council for breakfast!)

Registration closes tomorrow, Wednesday, October 14, at 4 p.m.!

"Lena Andrews, CEO of ACTION Housing, the region’s largest nonprofit housing developer, spoke extensively about how subsidies for housing are needed — but so is zoning reform. “This is not a crisis we can solve with subsidy alone,” she told the House panel. “We also need to build more housing of more types in more places and make it easier and faster to do so.”

The price of everything has gone up since 2019, of course, and housing advocates are awaiting the completion of a study that looks at what has driven these trends.

Welcoming our community to celebrate the opening of Uptown Flats this week was such a treat! And we want to thank our partners at Bethlehem Haven for working so hard to bring our event together, provide an inviting space, keep our guests dry, and share delicious refreshments! Today, we want to celebrate that partnership with Bethlehem Haven and Pittsburgh Mercy. In 2021, ACTION learned about Bethlehem Haven’s vision for a housing continuum that supported people with the housing and services they needed to transition out of homelessness, and we know that we needed to be a part of this project. We couldn’t be happier to have partnered with Jaime and her team and to see this incredible building become a reality!

Please join us in welcoming our new neighbors at Uptown Flats! Thank you to our incredible partners who helped make Uptown Flats possible, including Pittsburgh Mercy, Bethlehem Haven, Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA), Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, FHLB, Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh.

Uptown Flats is now open!

Thanks to Bethlehem Haven and ACTION-Housing, 34 new units of long-term, supportive housing are available for women experiencing homelessness. The URA supported the project with a $2.5 million loan, helping to bring Uptown Flats across the finish line and create safe, stable and permanently affordable housing for our neighbors.
