Starting a new career chapter after 50 can come with unique challenges. That’s why PA Women Work created Next Chapter Careers, a workforce development program offering cohort-based support, individual career counseling, job-readiness training, and mentorship for women 50+.

For Angela, a recent Next Chapter participant, that support helped her strengthen her resume, sharpen her job-search skills, and build confidence. After completing the program, she successfully navigated an 11-person panel interview and landed a full-time position. 🎉

Did you know the first woman ever to serve in a U.S. presidential cabinet was the Secretary of Labor?

Frances Perkins took the job in 1933 and held it for 12 years. She helped create many of the protections workers still count on today, including the minimum wage, the 40-hour work week, unemployment insurance, and Social Security.

Partner Shoutout: Immigrant Services and Connections - ISAC

Starting over in a new place means figuring out a lot of systems all at once. ISAC helps immigrants navigate services, benefits, housing, courts, schools, paperwork, bills, and more. When someone needs extra support, ISAC also offers service coordination.

The best part? Every service is free and offered in the client's native language.

We're grateful to work alongside a partner who helps our neighbors feel at home and able to move forward.

It was a joy to walk alongside so many people celebrating recovery, and a special treat to connect with JoEllen, National Training Director for Unity Recovery. Her work to build stronger recovery communities inspires us.
