Leadership Pittsburgh XLII's recent trip to Harrisburg provided the cohort with a firsthand look at the advocacy, collaboration, and leadership that shape public policy in Pennsylvania. With the support of the Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC Team - especially advisors Charles J. Kolling, Jr., Carrie Lewis DelRosso, LP XLI, Erin C. Molchany, LP ###VII, and Randy P. Vulakovich, LDI XV, YALP I - participants engaged in meaningful conversations about policy, public service, and civic leadership.
Through meetings with legislators and meaningful peer dialogue, participants brought months of learning, reflection, and shared experiences into discussions centered on the future of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
The cohort also gained valuable insight on bipartisan governance, public service, and economic development throughout the Commonwealth from speakers Speaker of the House Rep. Joanna McClinton, Republican Whip PA State Rep. Tim O'Neal, LP ###III, and Morgan Boyd, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
By visiting the Pennsylvania Capitol, LP XLII can now further reflect on how they can continue driving impact, strengthening communities, and leading with purpose long after their graduation in June.
