On October 8th, we celebrated 30 years of PUMP and 25 years of PSL at Spirit in Lawrenceville. Thanks to all that attended and supported the event! We are sharing out some photos from the evening and look forward to celebrating with the community moving forward.

PUMP Executive Director Josiah Gilliam met with the President and CEO of the First Tee - Pittsburgh Eric Amato to discuss his journey to Pittsburgh, this historic organization, and its recent growth and evolution.

The mission of First Tee - Pittsburgh is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. Through a partnership with the City of Pittsburgh, they manage and operate the Bob O'Connor Golf Course in Schenley Park. They also have locations throughout Allegheny County where youth and adults can learn the game of golf as well as partnerships with golf courses, clubs, and facilities throughout the region.

We’ll hear from Marija Balic, MD, PhD, breast cancer clinician and researcher at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Balic will discuss the groundbreaking innovations that originated in Pittsburgh that have helped shape today’s standard of care in breast cancer treatment and highlight some of the discoveries and advances, including her own, that continue to transform patient care.
