Trash Cat Rescue We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue. Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions.

We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR. Located in Pittsburgh PA

She’s silly! She’s playful and a little derpy. This is little Kiwi, and she’d be willing to add some fun and goofiness to your life. She may be the only girl in her litter, but she’s never been a pushover to her bigger brothers.

Kiwi starts off a little shy at first when meeting new people, but when she feels comfortable and safe she comes to life! Once in her comfort zone, Kiwi is your typical happy-go-lucky kitty! She loves to run, jump and climb on things, chase all kinds of toys, and wrestle with her littermates. She has a calm side too. She likes to perch on cat towers, sunbathe, and look out at the window to see what’s passing by. She is most intrigued by birds. She is a little cuddle bug. She likes to nap next to a human in a big cuddle pile on the bed with her littermates. Kiwi doesn’t mind being held, is easy to handle, and has cute little purrs.

She loves the company of other cats, and would need to go home with a littermate or to a home with a cat friend waiting. No matter how many attempts we’ve tried to introduce her to the foster family’s dog, she’s never accepted the company, and would likely prefer a home without one. It doesn’t take Kiwi too long to not be shy around kids. She especially loves when the foster family’s toddler breaks out the wand toys! She would be a great companion to add to most types of homes!

He’s goofy! He’s a dork. (He’s got 1 brain cell). This is Guava, and he’d be willing to add some fun and goofiness to your life. He’s a super fluffy, adorable little kitten.

Guava is a sweet little guy who often chirps and calls for attention. He enjoys pets and cuddles. Guava is your typical happy-go-lucky kitty! He is very rowdy and active. Double yoi! If you’re looking for the purrfect little man, look no further than Myron Cope. Our scouts made an elite save during the draft and selected him as the #1 draft pick from his four kitten draft class. He is full of black and gold spirit and is looking for a purrmanent coach to sign him to a lifetime contract.

Myron Cope is a little on the shyer side and will need a more confident cat in his furever home. Once he warms up, he will greet you at the door with purrs! Myron would do well with older, cat savvy children who understand he will need some time to warm up. He could also co-exist in a home with a dog as long as slow, proper introductions are done.

Discovered during the NFL draft chaos in the heart of Pittsburgh, this little male tabby bypassed the official draft rounds and went straight to the waiver wire. Meet Don who was trapped locally with his three siblings when he was drafted into foster care. He’s now looking for a purrmanent franchise to sign a lifetime contract with. Prone to encroachment on your personal space, this handsome tabby is guaranteed to be a hall of famer.

Don is the most outgoing of his litter with an incredible purr motor and has never met a toy he doesn’t like. Due to his playful energy, Don will need to go home with a littermate or to a home with another playful resident cat. He would do well in a variety of homes, including those with dogs (as long as they are done with proper introductions of course!)

While Pittsburgh was focused on the clock and draft podium, this handsome tabby was scouted and drafted into foster care. River was trapped with his three siblings who decided that they didn’t need to wait for the commissioner to call their names. With great locker room presence, this tiny powerhouse has completed training camp and is ready to make a purrmanent home field advantage on your couch.

River is pocket sized but plays big and would need a teammate to match his energy (consider Myron or Don?). He is shy initially but warms up quickly. Once he warms up, he will greet you at the door with purrs! River would do well with older, cat savvy children who understand he will need some time to warm up. He could also co-exist in a home with a dog as long as slow, proper introductions are done.

Forget the first rounders, this little girl is the real prize from draft weekend. Meet Deb, the shyest and smallest of her litter, who was trapped with her siblings amongst the chaos of draft weekend. This pint sized play maker is officially on the market and looking for her furever home. She does require a little time to warm up but will show off her professional sweetness and purring abilities in no time.

Deb will need a home with another young cat to keep her entertained and continue to build her confidence. She would likely do well with older kiddos as long as they understand Deb will need a bit of time to warm up.

Meet Claude!

This young man is extremely playful and affectionate. He goes hard in both regards- he LOVES to get the zoomies and leap all around the room with his feline foster mates. There isn’t a cat toy introduced that he doesn’t like! Claude is also an extreme lovebug. Once he gets over his initial nervousness, he comes slithering into your lap to demand all the pets and scratches that you are willing to give. Good luck ignoring him- he will rub all over your hands (your shoulders, your face) until you give in!!! He is very purry, very cuddly, and VERY cute.

Claude loves to lounge in cat hammocks when he isn’t busy playing. He is the most “chirpy” cat his foster has ever heard- he is very vocal when he wants to play- he lets out small chirps of all different varieties to call his friends to play. Because of how playful he is, Claude would do best going home with a friend or to a home with a playful resident cat. We suspect he would do ok with dogs as long as proper introductions are done. He has been in foster with two young cat savvy kiddos and has done great. He is also on a non Rx sensitive stomach hills food (salmon flavor) that he tolerates well and loves!

Introducing Youtube!! You will want to both Like AND Subscribe to cutie kitten Youtube. If she had her own channel, it would be nonstop play, parkour, and pets.

Youtube is a bold, playful kitten with a lot of energy and sass. She will attempt to lure you into a nonstop scroll session by flopping on her side and asking you to pet her belly, but watch out; it is a trap! She does have good manners with her claws so it is not too dangerous of a trap. Youtube loves churu and chasing her sisters. She goes completely insane for fishing pole toys and will absolutely hog it and steal the toy when her sisters manage to catch it. Due to her playful nature, Youtube will need to go home with a littermate or to a home with a playful resident cat.

Youtube is the epitome of kittendom: playful, sassy, and easy to handle. She has not been tested with dogs but is a relatively confident cat who would probably be okay with slow introductions. She is friendly with school-aged children and would likely enjoy humans of all ages.
