A Legacy of Her Own!

For Danielle Howard, entrepreneurship is a family affair. After her mother retired, Danielle stepped in to carry on the business she helped build, taking with her the lessons, values, and knowledge her mother passed down.

As a Black, small-business owner and independent State Farm agent, Danielle is passionate about serving her clients, investing in her community, and doing work she truly loves.

Hear Danielle share her journey, the legacy her mother left behind, and what it means to build a business rooted in community.

A collaboration between Entrepreneurs Forever and the African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania.

Pittsburgh ranks last among 50 benchmark cities for minority economic inclusion, but the data also shows what’s possible.
Closing the gap in minority and small business ownership could generate 200 additional businesses, 2,000 jobs, and $360 million in GDP for our region.
Economic inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s an investment in Pittsburgh’s future.
