Brother’s Brother Foundation helps bridge the gap between aid and sustainability by supporting localized programs and providing essential resources in the areas of healthcare, infrastructure, disaster response, and education (H.I.D.E).

Millions of doses of medicine. Thousands of medical supplies. One shared goal: expanding access to healthcare.

Together with Cross Catholic Outreach, BBF donated and distributed more than 16.3 million doses of prescription and over-the-counter medications, along with more than 299,000 medical and related supplies and nearly 1,100 pieces of medical equipment.

These resources reached partner organizations across Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic, supporting hospitals, community clinics, dispensaries, and healthcare providers serving their communities.

Strong communities are built when organizations come together to meet changing needs.

As demand for food assistance continues to rise across southwestern Pennsylvania, a grant from Brother’s Brother Foundation is helping Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank maintain essential food distribution across its 11-county service area.

So far in fiscal year 2026, the Food Bank has distributed 43.8 million pounds of food, including 17.8 million pounds of fresh produce. BBF’s support is helping sustain this work and strengthen reliable access to nutritious food for families, children, and seniors throughout the region.

Access to healthcare can start with something as simple as bringing care closer to the people who need it.

In his latest President’s Letter, Ozzy Samad shares how BBF’s Mobile Health Clinic Program is helping connect underserved communities with screenings, exams, resources, and ongoing care.

Most recently, BBF donated a mobile health clinic to Allegheny Health Network’s Center for Inclusion Health, continuing our work to help strengthen access to care throughout Western Pennsylvania and beyond.

One of the questions we hear most often is, "What happens after I donate medical supplies?"

Once donations are carefully received, sorted, inspected, and prepared by the Brother's Brother Foundation team, they are shipped to trusted partners around the world.

From there, they reach hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and healthcare providers serving communities where medical resources are limited or difficult to access.

When devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela in June, hospitals and health centers were left caring for thousands of injured patients while facing critical shortages of medical supplies.

Brother's Brother Foundation has awarded a grant to the Venezuelan American Medical Association (VAMA) Foundation to help provide medicines and medical supplies to healthcare facilities treating earthquake survivors. By sourcing supplies within Venezuela and working through VAMA's network of local physicians, this support will help deliver essential resources where they are needed most.
