The Blue Knights® International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Inc. -
is a non profit organization of active and retired law enforcement officers from around the world who enjoy riding motorcycles. Currently, there are over 20,000 members, in 586 chapters, representing 28 countries. The founding fathers of the Blue Knights® are Joel Rudom, Bill Robinson, Doug Miner, Ed Gallant, Mike Hall, Chuck Gesner, Wayne Labree, and Chuck Shuman, who began the club in 1974 in Bangor, Maine. Membership is comprised of law enforcement officers from state, county, municipal, and federal law enforcement agencies (including US Military law enforcement). The Blue Knights® is a fraternity with spouses and children often accompanying members on chapter rides and functions. As a Regular member, you must be an active law enforcement officer (minimum of 32 hours per week) or retired state, county, municipal, or federal (including military) law enforcement officer, who have (for active officers) or had (for retired officers) powers of arrest and employed by a government law enforcement agency.
