We've wrapped up a phenomenal first day of the 6th Annual ATA Beginning Teacher Institute! Around 150 educators joined Dr. Michael McDowell shared about rigor and about the importance of the small things done the right way lead to incredible change. "Rigor is not an event. It's a routine," he noted before exploring routines and concepts to support educators in integrating rigor into every day.

Attendees then joined others in their grade-levels to further explore these routines and concepts and make plans to incorporate in their classrooms this fall before joining Dr. McDowell for a final general session of the day.

Later this afternoon, many attendees joined us for a reception introducing the State 48 Graduate Profile and how the Arizona K12 Center can support educators in understanding and implementing this "north star" into their work. Explore the State 48 Graduate Profile at: state48gp.org

See you tomorrow for day two of !

We are so proud and excited to again be supporting ALL In Education's Sustainable Leadership Initiative by hosting and facilitating the Parent Educator Summer Institute! We are training parents in literacy instruction to be able to join a school staff and deeply support student learning.

The Sustainable Leadership Initiative aims to increase education workforce opportunities for parents and caregivers while simultaneously working toward increasing instructional capacity per school. The program prepares parents and caregivers from historically underserved communities to become educators, leaders, and change agents within their local school systems.
