Happy Birthday to the one that makes time and space for everyone. The one that makes us laugh and keeps us on our toes.

The one that had to go through some really hard seasons of life only to show all of us that the only way is through and that there is so much light on the other side if you get the right tools and put in the work.
Not a day goes by that I’m not grateful that you are still here with us and even today, on your birthday, you are giving me the gift of time and space so I can continue to be better for you and our boys.
I don’t think you’re realized the amount of lives you’ve touched and changed but the most important ones are the ones under your roof.

ARIZONA‼️For anyone who’s curious about psychedelics and other alternative healing modalities, I highly recommend checking out this in-person event.

These modalities have played a huge role in my own healing, and I genuinely credit them with being a big piece of why I’m still here today. They opened my eyes to the fact that healing doesn’t always have to look the way we’ve been taught it should.

The Arizona Psychedelic Conference & Wellness Fair is a chance to hear from some incredible speakers, learn more about psychedelic-assisted healing, and explore other modalities like breathwork, integration, sound healing, yoga, and more.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to make it this year, but if you’ve ever been curious, have questions, or simply want to understand what else is out there, go. Learn. Ask questions. Stay curious.

We’ve been pretty MIA lately.

For five years, we poured everything into Mental Joe. Our money, time, energy, and story. We’ve helped connect more than 400 people to support, and we still believe in the mission. But it stretched us beyond our means, and now we’re in a season that’s forcing us to actually use the tools we spent years talking about.

I see it most in Chad Chad McLean

He’s up before 5 AM, sometimes not home until 10 PM, working a job with zero ego because our family needs it. And somehow, he still answers the phone when someone is struggling.

Now he’s bringing those same lessons to the dugout, teaching 12 boys to breathe, flush it, and get ready for the next play.

Mental Joe didn’t disappear. It’s just showing up differently. Our family comes first right now, but the website is still live, and every order means more than you know.

Five years of talking about resilience… Now we’re living it.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is pause.

Over the past few years, Mental Joe has become so much more than a clothing brand. It’s become a community, a mission, and a bridge for people searching for hope and healing.

But if we’re being honest… it’s also been one of the hardest things we’ve ever built.

There are a lot of changes happening behind the scenes, and we’re taking some time to recenter, refocus, and make sure the next steps align with why we started this journey in the first place.

We don’t have all the answers yet, and that’s okay.

People hear M . . A and think raves, chaos, burning the candle at both ends. When really? It’s two people just hanging out.

That’s the part nobody expects. The ego drops. The defensiveness drops. You can say “hey, this thing you do drives me nuts” and actually hear “okay, that’s fair” back - no spiral, no “you think I’m a bad mom/dad.” Just two people back at center.

If people can remove the stigma and use it for what it actually is, they get to connect as human beings again and in a way most people never do, because they’re too scared to look in the mirror.

We’ve been sold the idea that healing means you’ll never struggle again.

That’s not how it works.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about coming home to who you’ve always been.

It’s catching yourself before the spiral.
Setting boundaries without guilt.
Choosing peace over chaos.
Resting when your body asks for it.

It’s remembering that every time life knocks you off course, you have the tools to find your way back.

Healing isn’t linear.
It’s real.
And it’s worth it.

After Watch Foundation was built because the people who founded it hit that wall themselves. They were not advocates who chose a cause. They were officers, veterans, and first responders who said I am not okay, found their way through, and decided to spend the rest of their lives making sure others could do the same. This organization exists because they refused to let the next person figure it out alone.
