Nearly six years ago, I landed in inpatient after a near su***de attempt.
A couple of weeks ago, I sat down with Anthony Canania to talk about healing, and it hit me... almost to the day, it was six years later.
That night felt like the end of my story. Instead, it became the beginning.
A few weeks after leaving inpatient, I found ketamine-assisted therapy. It gave me hope when I couldn’t see any. It helped me face the battles I had spent years running from. And during one of those sessions, the idea for Mental Joe was born.
What started as a simple vision became a mission: use apparel to start hard conversations, inspire hope, and raise awareness that there are alternative paths to healing.
If you’re struggling today, I want you to hear this:
The way you feel right now does not define where you’ll be six years from now.
Six years ago, I couldn’t imagine the life I have today. The purpose. The healing. The relationships. The impact.
Keep going.
Your story isn’t over.
Sometimes the moment that feels like the end is actually the beginning of everything.
