🍀Alaska State Livestock Contest 2026 is open for registration! 🍀

Who: All Alaska 4-H members, teams or individuals!

What: 2026 State Livestock Contest: Livestock Judging; Skill-a-Thon; Public Speaking; Quiz Bowl; Art Contest!

Where: MatSu/Copper River District.

When: Sept. 25-26, 2026

Why: To learn more about agriculture, to network with fellow 4-H'ers, and to maybe qualify for nationals!

‘Twas the night before Fair, and all through the Tull, 🎡🌙✨
The walls were all covered—the building was FULL. 🎨🧶📸🌻🪡

The ribbons were hung by the exhibits with care, 🎀🏅💜💙
In hopes that fairgoers soon would be there. 👀🎟️🎡

The photos were straightened, the crafts tucked in tight, 📸🖼️✂️
The fiber arts fluffed up and looking just right. 🧶🪡✨
The blue ribbons gleamed, purple rosettes did too, 💙💜🏅
And somehow we made it. WE ACTUALLY CAME THROUGH. 😭🙌💚🍀

Tomorrow the gates open. 🎡🎟️🐄🐴🐷🐑
Tomorrow the crowds come. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨
Tomorrow, hundreds of 4-H projects get their moment to shine. 🌟🍀🎨📸🧁🌻🧶🔨💚

Thank you 6th Avenue Outfitters Co-op for providing extra incentive for our champions!

This includes champions in the Tull, at the State Horse Show, and FFA +4-H Champions during the last week of the fair!

Judging has begun in the Tull Building! We are so fortunate to have experts judging this year! Retired teachers, judges borrowed from the Hoskins building, UAF professional researchers, and even a semi-pro photographer!

You all leveled up your game, so we leveled up ours!

🚨 STATIC EXHIBIT REMINDER! 🚨

Your NON-PERISHABLE 4-H static exhibits are due TOMORROW — Sunday, August 16! 🎨📸🧵🪚 Bring them to the June Tull Building at the Fairgrounds 2pm-6pm!

Bring us your art, photography, crafts, sewing, fiber projects, educational displays, skilled trades projects, digital media, and all the other wonderful things that will not wilt, rot, or require refrigeration. 😂💚

PLEASE DO NOT BRING TOMORROW:
🍪 Baked goods
🌻 Plants or flowers
🥕 Vegetables/herbs/horticulture exhibits

Those perishable exhibits are due Tuesday, August 25!
