🌾✨What a special weekend celebrating the Governor's Pheasant Opener in Northfield! We were honored to take part in the media tour at Sharing Our Roots and celebrate the power of community, land access, and growing opportunities for a regenerative future🌱

We also led guests on a tour of our farm to showcase our cohort fields, natural lands, and community gardens! Farmers like Hellen and Betwel shared their experiences while gardeners highlighted the incredible impact on food security and community well-being that our gardens have.

We're so grateful for the opportunity to share our work, uplift our farmers & gardeners, show how we are growing a more inclusive and connected local food system together💚

YOU can design the back of our new t-shirts! Go to www.sharing-our-roots.org/t-shirt-design-contest (or click the link in bio!) to read the design guidelines and submit your design. The last day to enter is November 1 👕✨

And there is a PRIZE! The winning design will win $100 CASH– and, you will also receive a free shirt, SOR hat & waterbottle, and social media shoutout!

Our team will select the top three designs and we will be bead voting at our upcoming Harvest Celebration on November 19 (check out our events page for more info and registration)

Please note if drawing by hand, use a standard 8.5” x 11” sheet in portrait orientation and please fill most of the page.

We are nominating the Sharing Our Roots Community Connector Manager, Noemi, as our Food Access Leader because leading this program connects over 150 households across Northfield and Faribault to our community gardens. For gardeners that grow an abundance, our connectors help to connect them to food insecure neighbors to ensure that our community is well fed with healthy, organic, and culturally-relevant fresh produce. When you have extra food, try connecting your abundance to the local need in your community and be a food hero yourself!
