At Sharing Our Roots, we are committed to helping our farmers grow thriving farm businesses 🌱

One way we do this is through hands-on technical trainings! In partnership with UMN Extension, we facilitated a soil health and w**d management training, where farmers built skills using seeding & w**ding tools and learned how tilling implements are used on the tractor.

Huge shoutout to our farm team, Alissa and Nicole, who make these learning opportunities possible. From coordinating instructors to gathering farmer feedback and creating accessible, supportive spaces to learnβ€” they are the driving force behind our cohort πŸ’š

Noemi, Wendy, and Antonio (left to right) are three of our Community Connectors that run our gardens across Northfield & Faribault. Last Thursday, we had a gardener plant giveaway in which we handed out hundreds of tomato, pepper, onion, tomatillo, kale, zucchini, and cilantro plants!

Over a 150 gardeners and their families came out to the SOR and Cannon River Park gardens, it was such a joy to start off the growing season with such a bang!
