Old playground equipment is coming out at the City of Northfield, Minnesota's Central Park, Dresden Hill Park, and Riverside Lions Park this week. New playgrounds go in by September, including one nature-themed "Discovery Zone" at Riverside that's unlike anything else in town.

Ever wonder what happens to all that snow in Downtown Northfield MN after a storm? Here's the midnight-to-7am operation most Northfield residents never see: City of Northfield, Minnesota loaders, graders, snowblowers, and semis working in coordination to haul it away. I got up at 3:30 a.m. last Tuesday to capture it.
