🏹 2026 NCKF Shinnen Shakai - Event Highlights ✨

We had 39 members from across the NCKF participate in our annual Shinnen Shakai to celebrate the Year of the Horse. It was great to see everyone gather for a day of friendly competition and mutual support as we work to improve our Kyudo practice. Thank you to Redwood Kyudojo for organizing and hosting the event!

Day-to-day practice builds the foundation of Kyudo. Whether it's working with the makiwara () for close-range form, using rubber bands to strengthen movement, or giving feedback to one another, every moment of training brings us closer to refining both skill and spirit.

We were deeply honored to learn under the guidance of four distinguished instructors from the All Nippon Kyudo Federation during the American Kyudo Seminar in Minnesota:
Izuru Katō – Hanshi Hachidan
Hiroyuki Arakawa – Hanshi Hachidan
Yūichi Tsunemitsu – Hanshi Hachidan
Kimiko Itō – Kyōshi Hachidan

Their teachings, demonstrations, and generosity of spirit made this seminar an unforgettable experience. We are grateful for their time and dedication to sharing Kyudo with us.
