Applicants are asked to describe their projects in terms of nine criteria:

✔ Meets a current community need
✔ Has achievable goals, measurable outcomes, and clear community benefit
✔ Aligns with organizational capacity
✔ Contributes to the long-term growth of organizations and services
✔ Ensures responsible management of grant funds
✔ Values volunteers and partnerships as a means for enhancing the reach and impact of projects
✔ Contributes to a thriving, equitable community
✔ Includes a sustainability plan for the project or impact to continue beyond the grant period.

📆 What are the important dates to remember for the 2026-2027 grant cycle? Mark your calendar!

✅ The online grant application opened on July 1, 2026.
✅ The application deadline is September 25, 2026 at 11:59PM.
✅ Applicants will be notified in November of grant decisions.
✅ Funds will be disbursed to grantees by 12/31/2026.

If your organization received a grant in the 2025-2026 grant cycle, your Grant Impact Report is required before you can submit a new application for grant funding in this cycle. 2025 Grant Impact Reports are due by September 25, 2026.

A Community Where Creativity Thrives: Northfield Arts Guild 🎭

🌟 We're excited to welcome the Northfield Arts Guild as a participating nonprofit in Dancing with the Northfield Stars!

For generations, the Arts Guild has brought people together through theater, music, visual arts, classes, performances, and opportunities for artists of all ages and experience levels. Their work reminds us that the arts can connect us, inspire us, and strengthen our community.

Who is eligible to apply for a grant from Northfield Shares?

Your organization is eligible for a grant if it is designated as a tax-exempt 501(c)3, AND if it serves people within the Northfield School District region. If you are not an organization or a 501(c)3, you may apply as long as you are fiscally sponsored by a designated 501(c)3.
