Take a look at this photo. This was the original Freddy’s Backroom in Brooklyn, circa 2005. No stage, questionable lighting, sticky floors... and some of the wildest, sweatiest, vibrant up-close opera-singing Brooklyn had ever heard.

We started this company with a simple mission: to take opera out of the elite halls and bring it to the places where people actually live (and drink).
