Heading back to our usual spot! 🥂 Friday, July 10th is our monthly Toast on the 10th, and we’re returning to one of our favorites in Union Square!

Whether you’re wrapping up the work week, in the neighborhood, or just looking to catch up with some amazing AOII sisters and friends, we can't wait to hang out at our go-to place.

Here are the details:
📍 Where: The High Note (Union Square)
🚇 Subway: 4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, R, W
⏰ When: 6:00–7:00 PM (But happy hour runs 5:00–8:00 PM if you want to get a head start!)

Expect that easy, come-and-go vibe we love, great happy hour cocktails, and their crowd-favorite smash burgers + fries. 🍔🍟

Pay as you go, no RSVP needed, and absolutely no pressure to stay the whole time. Drop in, say hello, and bring a friend along!

Happy 4th of July, from NYC AOII Alumnae! 🎆🗽

Red, white, blue, and AOII Roses! 🌹✨ Today, we are celebrating freedom, community, and sisterhood as we mark America's 250th Independence Day!

There is no place quite like New York City for such a historic celebration. Whether you are catching the spectacular fireworks from the East Side or the West Side, watching the majestic tall ships parade on the Hudson, or hosting a festive rooftop barbecue, we hope your day is spectacular.

Wishing all of our sisters, families, friends, and the entire NYC community a safe, beautiful, and happy Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙

AOII Makes a $1,000,000 Impact at Women in Motion Luncheon! ✨
The Arthritis Foundation New York's Women in Motion event was a massive success! We loved sharing the AOII story and celebrating our powerful partnership.

The highlight? Our Honoree, Jaynellen Behre Jenkins, drew an audible gasp from the room when she revealed AOII’s latest $1,000,000 gift to the Arthritis Foundation! ❤️

Presented by International President Susan Bonifield—and with actress Kathleen Turner in attendance—it was an unforgettable afternoon. To make it sweeter, we met several sisters at the after-luncheon who are officially joining NYC AOII! 🌹❤️

For those who cannot attend the Luncheon at the Pierre Hotel, the NYC AOII Alumnae Chapter is continuing the celebration at the iconic Tavern on the Green! Come toast to Jaynellen’s incredible achievement with your sisters.

🕒 Time: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
📍 Where: Inside Bar Area @ Tavern on the Green (67th Street & Central Park West)

📚 NYC AOII Book Club Update! 📚

Our first Book Club Meeting since 2022 was a lively opportunity to catch up on Zoom and discuss Theo of Golden. A special guest, who is a close friend of the author and lives in Columbus, Georgia, joined us and added some wonderful southern insight!

Next Up: July Selection 🪵✨
Our selection for July is The God of the Woods.

When: We are planning for a mid-July weekday night (exact date and Zoom link coming soon!).

Fun Fact: Filming actually started this month for the upcoming Netflix series adaptation—so it is the perfect time to read it now before it hits the screen!

🌳👟 Toast on the 10th - A Walk Through Central Park👟🌳

This Wednesday, 6/10, grab the beverage of your choice and join us for a relaxed, 45-minute stroll through Central Park! It’s the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs, catch up, and enjoy some fresh air together.

• Time: Meet at 6:00 PM. We leave promptly at ~6:10 PM!
• Meeting Spot: Grand Army Plaza — 5th Ave & 59th St (by the gold General Sherman statue / Pulitzer Fountain).
