“I really wish the story told in the pages of this book never would have happened, never would have been a story to tell. But because it happened, we have to tell it.”
— Amir Tibon , 2026 Winner Acceptance Speech: (https://www.samirohrprize.org/videos)

“It’s my mission now. People started to approach me and to ask me to write this because it is not a story, it’s a testimony… I had no doubt I would survive. I had no doubt that I would be released one day… We had almost no doubt that one day we’d be out and we need to tell the story.”
- אלי שרעבי , Guest Speaker, 2026 SRP Jewish Literary Institute
