The conversations are just as important as the performances.

As part of our Breaking Barriers, Building Futures Graduation, Concert & Panel on June 26, we’ll be joined by leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, and community advocates for a powerful discussion on the barriers youth face, what it takes to overcome them, and how we can build stronger futures through community, mentorship, education, and access.

Whether you’re a young person, parent, educator, or community member, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss. Come celebrate our participants, connect with the community, and be part of an evening dedicated to breaking barriers and building futures.

RSVP through the link in our bio. We look forward to seeing you there. 💚

In honor of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to recognize the importance of creating spaces where young men feel safe enough to speak, heal, and simply be themselves. At Emergent Works, we see every day how community, creativity, and mentorship can help carry burdens that were never meant to be carried alone.

To every young man who may be struggling, your story matters, your voice matters, and you do not have to face it by yourself. 💚

Congratulations to our Pure Legacee Digital Literacy cohort on reaching this incredible milestone! 🎉

Last week, participants wrapped up their Brand Guidelines documents and brought their ideas to life by creating social media content based on the captions and strategies they developed throughout the program. It’s been amazing watching them build confidence, strengthen their digital skills, and find their unique voices.

A special congratulations to the young women of Pure Legacee, and thank you to for partnering with us and making this opportunity possible. We’re excited to celebrate this accomplishment again as they join us for the T.R.A.P. Graduation on June 26 and showcase everything they’ve worked so hard to create.

Be sure to RSVP through the link in our bio.💚

As we reach the end of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reminded that growth is not only about professional development and skill building, but also about emotional well-being, healing, and having spaces where young people feel supported.

At Emergent Works, we continue to see the importance of community, creativity, and conversation in helping our participants navigate life, express themselves, and move forward with confidence. 💚

Friday Recap✨

Our participants focused on building their collaborative website in Anika’s class last week, creating a space that will feature their T.RAP research, music, and more information about them as artists. The project continues to strengthen both their creativity and digital literacy skills.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Carrie Marker back for her second guest speaker session focused on mock interviews and professional communication. Participants learned more about how to present themselves confidently and navigate interview conversations professionally.💚

Here are more moments from our visit to Revivin last week.✨

Our participants toured the space, connected with the team over lunch, and took part in a LinkedIn workshop that strengthened their professional presence. Experiences like this make a real difference by connecting learning to real-world opportunity.

A big thank you to for their continued support and generosity. Their ongoing laptop donations directly power our programming and create access for our participants to learn, build, and move forward. We truly appreciate the investment they continue to make in our community.💚
