Living with a health condition or a changing body or mind can mean navigating challenges in healthcare, work, and housing. What information or support do you wish you had along the way?

Share your experiences to help AAPD build a program that reflects community needs. You don’t have to identify as disabled to participate.

Our Deaf seniors deserve to stay in their homes with dignity

Clement So represented MADA at New York City Hall before the Committees on Aging, Disabilities, and Finance

He spoke up for Deaf and Hard of Hearing seniors who face barriers to city programs that freeze their rent. He called for better notices, ASL video appointments, email support, and funding for hands-on help from community organizations

Together, we can break down barriers so no Deaf senior is left behind

New York State General Election 2026: Dates & Accessible Voting Information

MADA is sharing signed and captioned election videos featuring Amanda Inthavong, created for the REV UP: Activate Disabled New York Project.

Early Voting: October 24–November 1, 2026
Hours and locations vary by county.

Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026
Polls open: 6:00 AM–9:00 PM.

For official election information, registration status, polling locations, and voting options, visit the New York State Board of Elections.

For accessibility and communication assistance, contact your county Board of Elections. NYC voters can find local information through the NYC Board of Elections.

Thank you to everyone who attended Deaf Asian Senior Day at Pier 57! We enjoyed a meaningful afternoon filled with tea ceremony, Ikebana, poetry, refreshments, and community connection.
