Amanda Inthavong, MADA Social Media Director, attended the 3rd Annual Disability Power on the Hill Conference in Washington, D.C. to represent the Deaf Asian community and help bring greater visibility to Deaf Asian voices in disability advocacy spaces.

Throughout the conference, advocates from across the country met with members of Congress to discuss important issues impacting the disability community, including protecting Medicaid HCBS, eliminating SSI asset limits, and increasing federal support for special education.

MADA is proud to continue advocating for accessibility, inclusion, representation, and equity for the Deaf Asian community. Thank you to AAPD for creating spaces where diverse communities can come together and advocate for change.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration! We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came to support MADA. It was an unforgettable afternoon celebrating culture through food, performances, and community storytelling.

This event reminded us how important it is to celebrate and uplift our communities. We also want to extend a special thank you to Grace Lee and Chris Marte for their support and for presenting MADA with a citation—it truly means a lot to our organization.

If you missed it, we truly missed you and hope to see you at our next event. Be sure to follow us and stay tuned for upcoming events, announcements, and ways to get involved!
