Organizing, educating, and serving low-income Korean and Asian immigrant communities since 1984.

The MinKwon Center for Community Action (formerly YKASEC) was established in 1984 to meet the needs and concerns of the Korean American community through our five program areas: Community Organizing and Advocacy, Social Services, Civic Participation, Youth, and Culture. Since our founding, we have made a profound presence in the Korean American community through various grassroots organizing, education, and advocacy initiatives that address important community issues, including immigration policies at the national, state and city levels, voter rights, and cultural awareness.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Thursday at our Rooted in Community 42nd Anniversary Gala! We truly appreciate everyone who attended and celebrated MinKwon's work this past year. As an organization by and for the community, we value your continued support in our collective journey to create a just and equitable society where all people can live in harmony, dream and achieve their full potential.

We would also like to congratulate our Standing Up For Justice Awardees Hands Off NYC and AAPI New Jersey for their steadfast leadership and commitment to protecting immigrant communities.

While the journey ahead may come with many challenges, we will not waiver in our dedication to achieve economic and social justice for all. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to you for standing with us throughout the years and we hope to continue working together to build a more equitable society.
