Ling Jiou Mountain Buddhist Society The Ling Jiou Mountain Buddhist Society, based in Taiwan, was founded in 1983 by Master Hsin Tao, with a special focus on global, interfaith dialogue.

The New York Center of the Ling Jiou Mountain Buddhist Society is proud to announce, Love and Forgiveness - A Call for Art. Sponsored by The Fetzer Institute and produced by Project Mavens, this event is an invitation to New York City High School students to submit works of art on the topic, "Love and Forgiveness in the Modern World." The deadline for submissions is February 15th, 2015 at 11:59PM.

The work will be adjudicated by a panel of experts, including Shirley Taylor, Director of Education at the Apollo Theater Foundation, Leanne Stella, Founder and Director of Art in FLUX Harlem and Lisa Cooper, Owner of Elisa Contemporary Art. Creators of the top five pieces of art will be awarded $500 each! The top 30 entries will be exhibited at a public showing and celebration on Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at the Helen Mills Event Space and Theater.
