The competition at Tang-o-Ween wasn’t limited to the shuffleboard courts! Our costume contest brought out plenty of creativity, with some impressive looks competing for bragging rights of a different kind.

🎃 Tang-o-Ween 2026 is all wrapped up - mummy style!

This past Sunday, 35 teams kicked off a full day of shuffleboard at Royal Palms, starting with group play before the field narrowed to a single-elimination bracket, where the remaining 16 teams battled for the championship. Congratulations to our top four teams!

Another great day on the courts for our Fall New Player Tournament at The Royal Palms Brooklyn🌴! 🦩🏆

It was an exciting, fun-filled afternoon of competitive shuffling, with teams of two battling it out in 12-frame matches in a double-elimination bracket, ending with one duo taking it all!

Tang-o-Ween registration is OPEN!

Join us at The Royal Palms Brooklyn🌴 for an Open New York State doubles tournament combining competitive shuffleboard, community, and spirited fun.

Teams will kick things off with a play-in group stage, with top finishers advancing to a single-elimination bracket to battle it out for the Tang-o-Ween title and cash prizes.

But your play on the courts isn’t the only way to win! This year, we’re adding a costume contest, with prizes for Best Individual Costume and Best Doubles Costume. Get creative and come dressed to impress.

No partner? No problem! Sign up as a Free Agent and we’ll pair you with another player.

Tang-o-Ween is open to everyone — you don’t need to be an NYSA member or play in a Royal Palms league to participate. Current NYSA members are eligible to earn State Points.

We’ll see you on the courts!

Over the first two weeks of September, the Hendersonville Shuffleboard Club in North Carolina hosted three National Tournaments like it always has. Except this time, everyone playing on those drifty, ocean-blue courts knew it might be the last. The city has plans for the park that don’t fully include shuffleboard, and nothing’s final yet, but everyone showed up playing like they knew exactly what was at stake. All-time legends took one more lap around courts they’ve been playing on for decades. A handful of NYSA members made the trip to be part of it too, because if these courts are going out, they’re going out with company.

Once the final disc was tossed, players started walking off with pieces of the place: vintage tangs and biscuits, scoreboards, club signage, whatever they could carry. One last ch*****ne toast, a round of bon voyages, and the gates locked behind us.

Hendersonville wraps up the National Shuffleboard Association’s 2025-2026 season. Next, we kick off the 2026-2027 season with a new open any singles tournament in North Fort Myers, FL on October 17-18. See the full national tournament schedule at the link in our bio.

The New Player Tournament is BACK!

After a great first run this spring, we’re joining forces with The Royal Palms Brooklyn🌴 to bring it back for round two — another chance for newer shufflers to hit the courts, meet some fellow players, and get a taste of tournament play in a fun, low-pressure environment.

This doubles tournament is designed for newer players — ideally those who have played 4 or fewer seasons in the Royal Palms league.

🙌 No partner needed! Everyone will be paired up at random, and all players are guaranteed multiple matches.

New to the game or still fine tuning your strategy? We’ll also have experienced NYSA players on hand to answer questions and offer a little guidance along the way.

Come play, meet some new people, and get in on the competitive shuffleboard action.

🏆 SPRING SINGLES LEAGUE CHAMPS CROWNED! 🏆

What a way to close out the Spring Singles League! We packed the Palms on Friday night for our Final Four Watch Party, with the Main and Consolation brackets playing side-by-side — and the matches absolutely delivered. Every semifinal came down to the final hammer shot!

After a night of incredible shuffling, we crowned our Spring Singles League Champion and Consolation Bracket Champion!

And because apparently six high-stakes singles matches weren’t enough action for one night, we squeezed in a Speed Shuffle Showdown between the semifinals and the finals. Congrats to Michelle James for taking the win!
