Comprised of veterans of the Mardi Gras tradition and the fresh wave of individuals drawn to New Orleans, the Krewe of Freret is dedicated to placing a lasting stamp on Carnival! Riding memberships are still available for males, females, young, old, natives, and transplants.

"Fayard Freret Women's Leadership Award", is named in honor of the Krewe of Freret President, Kacie Fayard. The Krewe of Freret flourishes thanks in major part to the significant contributions of women in various leadership roles within the organization, so it makes sense to support the ongoing advancement of women's leadership in New Orleans. Each year the Krewe of Freret hosts a mask making contest that is judged by (this year's queen Freret!). We're thrilled to announce that she's chosen two very deserving winners.

Our second winner is glittery shrimp mask. Congratulations!!!
