This summer, we’re making memories brick by brick 💙🎢✨

Kyler Cares families are headed to LEGOLAND for a day of fun, connection, laughter, and community care. OPEN TO AGES 2-13.

From rides and adventures to new friendships and sweet moments together, we can’t wait to spend the day outside with our community. Speaking of moments, there will be THREE surprise magic moments throughout the day, meetup at designated spots for treats and added fun for all attendees.

Hey y’all! I know some of you are new to our journey at Kyler Cares, so I wanted to share a throwback from the early days that really meant a lot to me.

When I first started Kyler Cares, I met so many people living complex lives like mine, managing Type 1 while still showing up fully in highly active worlds. A lot of those connections came through the Ochsner Diabetes Clinic and Manning Children’s Hospital. One of them was Rory Monier, a middle school student athlete at the time.

I had the chance to attend a New Orleans Saints game, so of course I brought him with me.

We talked about what it really takes to play sports and stay healthy. Daily management…the importance of knowing your levels and how to respond to them. Type 1 doesn’t take you out of the game, it just means you have to learn how to manage it while you’re in it.

Rory’s in college now and living a full life. And btw, this was my first football game. lol

Our Founder Kyle Banks was recently featured in NOLA.com, reflecting on the journey from being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes while performing in Disney’s The Lion King to building Kyler Cares. His diagnosis became a turning point, pushing him to find his purpose.

Today, Kyler Cares has grown significantly, and our team supports children and families across the country by addressing real gaps in technology access, daily care and management, and long term support.

Thank you NOLA. You are home. The work continues.
