SPRING BREAKTHROUGH RECAP - DAY 3

We ended the week on a high note, taking 40 students from Rockford to attend the
Black College Expo hosted by National College Resources at Chicago State University !

Thanks to RPS 205 for pulling together a great group of volunteer chaperones to support a successful student experience!

Our board member Joshua Patterson challenges students to a "push through" push-ups challenge!

At the expo, our students attended informative seminars including "The 411 for the Student Athlete," and "REAL TALK…College vs High School."

In addition, students met with representatives from 50+ colleges, including HBCUs - getting questions answered about majors, student organizations and academic support offerings!

The expo was hosted by comedian and entertainer Kel Mitchell, and including performances by Hip Hop legend YoYo and "Raising Kanan" actor comedian London Brown!
