Last night, we were honored to gather with our members of Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses and The American Friends of Lafayette to celebrate history, community, and the legacy of Lafayette.
One of the evening's highlights was the stunning presentation of Lafayette Arrives at the Chalmette Battlefield, April 10, 1825 by creator John Scurich. Made through extensive historical research and innovative AI-assisted artistry, this one-of-a-kind work imagines a moment in Lafayette's journey that has never before been documented in artwork.
Guests had the opportunity to hear directly from John Scurich and Executive Director Susan Maclay about the inspiration, research, and vision behind this remarkable piece.
✨ Bidding is still open until 5:00 PM today! ✨
