We are hiring for a Drug Checking Specialist! The Drug Checking Specialist provides drug checking services for participants, shares results and harm reduction education, and collaborates on running the day-to-day operations of the Drug Checking program. The position works closely with all of Southside’s programming; including our Drop-in Center, Outreach, and Deliveries programs in order to provide people who use drugs the information they need to maintain their autonomy, health and wellbeing.

We’re hiring!

Southside Harm Reduction Services is excited to announce a brand new position: Harm Reduction Educator.

This role will lead overdose response trainings, provide naloxone education, and build meaningful community engagement. We’re looking for someone who centers lived experience and is passionate about making harm reduction accessible for people who use drugs, unhoused neighbors, and s*x workers.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with priority given to those submitted before May 25th.

When: Tuesday, May 12th from 5-6pm
Where: 1925 Chicago Ave. Minneapolis, MN, 55404

Come join us to learn or refresh your memory on how to respond to an opioid overdose! If you can’t make it to this one, no worries! We plan on doing community trainings the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Stay tuned for future posting!

Weather permitting, walking, biking, or transit are great travel options!
Parking lot spots are available first come, first served. There is street parking on 19th Ave.

Entrance is on Chicago Ave. side across from bus station.
Ring the doorbell upon arrival & someone will let you in!

Elevator is located at the first door on left side after entering building; stairs located at the second door on left side.

Masks with (K)N95/P100/N100 filtration level or better are required (no ear loops unless necessary please). Southside will provide masks as needed! If this is a barrier for you, please email our Volunteer Coordinator (contact info listed below).
