Co-chair Craig with some pictures of a recent ride at Theodore Wirth trails in Minneapolis. These trails are a great example of what urban riding can be. Near the heart of the city, close to great amenities, all sorts of fun to ride.

If you want trails like that, we should talk. Milwaukee County Parks has asked us to put together a plan for trails along the Kinnickinnic River in Milwaukee. Jackson Park to Baran Park and nearly everything in between. Probably 3-4 miles next year, with more in the following years.

Local MTBers lost an old friend yesterday. John Kaishian was the original tenant, developer, and creator of Crystal Ridge Ski Hill in Franklin. He literally turned a quarry into a ski hill. John took a chance on us and allowed us to host rides and races there when the nearest good, legal MTBing was at John Muir. Over the years Metro Mountain Bikers, Milwaukee MTB Trail Advocates hosted WORS and WEMS races there as well as our own Wednesday Night Time Trial Series. He never asked for much from us, and we got a foot hold in the county to create free, legal off road biking. Thanks John, you will be remembered.
