The green cabin received some upgrades over the weekend. Brand new futon is a full size bed that can sleep two. Old curtains were removed which added about two more feet of visible window. Feels like a much larger room now! There are still plenty of available reservable dates at www.westforksportsclub.org

What a difference 4 years can make. It might not be super obvious from the picture but we effectively reduced over 50% of the solar heating potential to this 900 foot section of stream. We did this by installing 6 wing dams that narrowed the stream by over 50% while also accelerating the flow and deepening the channel. This keeps the water much cooler and trout friendly. It has also provided more trout habitat and fishing opportunities. The juvenile raccoon approved of one of our wing dams.

It’s the second to last weekend to camp at the West Fork. Weather is going to be great and the fall colors are strong!

Big news! We now have a dedicated stream monitoring station at the West Fork Sports Club!! You can access data like: water level, daily rain amounts, water temps, wind speeds, air temps, humidty, etc. This data can help predict hatches and give you an idea what shape the steam is in. You can find the link on our newly rebuilt website www.westforksportsclub.org
