WRITE WITH US SATURDAY MORNING (SEPT. 5) IN LA CROSSE 🪴📘☕️📚✏️

From 8:30 am to 10:30 am, we're hosting our monthly in-person Write-In at the Root Note coffee shop, 115 4th St. N. in La Crosse (https://therootnotewi.com/)

Drop in and out anytime . . . write, sip your favorite coffee or tea, chat a bit with other writers if you like, but mostly, grab the time to write and feel motivated by the writing energy around you.

RSVPs appreciated but not required -- if you can, email Jodi Vandenberg-Daves at [email protected] to let her know you're coming. This will help with reserving seats for writers at the Root Note which can be busy on a Saturday morning.

• Available to commit 2-4 hours a month to a non-profit, volunteer cause?
• In possession of skills and ideas that can benefit our mission? (A background in Little Green Light would be highly valuable.)

Congratulations to Driftless writer Chuck Kernler on his book THE STONEHOUSE CHRONICLES, forthcoming this fall! From Chuck:

"I spent thirty-five years in the William Hemmelberg House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This book tells the story of the house and the challenges of raising a family there."

I received significant help and encouragement from the Driftless Writing Center including, especially, my small critique group.

"This activity has been made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund."
