***ADOPTED!!
My name is Bronx and my foster mom says I’m sweet, energetic, playful, adorable, and all other nice descriptions. My paperwork will tell you I’m a basset mix which could very well be true. However, Im being told I look and act like a jack Russell terrier just have an elongated body. My short stature (aka legs) does not stop me from having fun! I weigh about 22 pounds. I’ve proven to be a fast runner (kinda like the road runner - meep meep), a high jumper (no not the track kind), and act like a flying squirrel jumping from furniture to furniture.
The Texas vet has me down as a year old but I may be younger. So you will need to be open to my age.
I am currently being fostered on a farm and loving every minute of it. I go out to do chores with them morning and night. What does that matter you might ask? I can coexist with almost anything from other dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, turkey, and even rabbits! I honestly would prefer a home with a playful dog.
I will do fine with kids but they should be a little older (maybe like 6 or so) as I forget my manners and jump on you. We are working on that but I can be a tad bit forgetful.
One thing I struggle with is meeting new people and people coming into my home. They tell me Jack Russell’s have a tendency to be protective/possessive of their owners. I do growl but my tail is still wagging. Whoever adopts me should be willing to take me to dog classes so this doesn’t get out of control.
I have lots of love to give and show that by getting into your personal space (wink wink) and hand out lots of kisses (good slobbery ones). The closer I can be to you the better I feel. Oh, I forgot to mention I LOVE to snuggle!
I sleep in a kennel at night in my foster parents room. I’d prefer to sleep with them but they tell me a kennel is a good thing for now. With that being said, I’m kenneled when they are gone and do just fine as long as I have a few toys to play with.
My last adopter said I had lots of accidents in the house but I’m doing really good here. I just need someone that will stay on top of me and watch for my cues. With that being said I really need someone to be patient with me when I do have accidents.
So after reading all this and you are up to meeting me please fill out an application at: www.straysoulsrescue.com/adopt-form/
My adoption fee is $200 (I say priceless) and I’m already neutered, up to date on vaccinations/preventatives, and microchipped. Now I’ll sit and wait to see what special human thinks I’m priceless too.
Priority will always be given to complete applications over emails, calls, messages and Petfinder matches/inquiries.
