Our 2nd Annual “Thank You Thursday” was another special reminder of what makes this community so incredible.

Today, our seniors gathered to write heartfelt thank you notes to the donors who helped make their scholarships possible following last night’s Senior Awards Night.

A special thank you to these amazing educators who came back to support our students, offering encouragement, guidance, and a few grammar reminders along the way. Their continued dedication to our students and community is truly appreciated!

We are grateful for the many people who help make these opportunities possible for the Westby Area High School Class of 2026!

We’re continuing our introductions of the newest members of the Norse Fund Board. Today we’re excited to introduce: Lisa Knight

Hello, my name is Lisa Knight and I have recently joined the Norse Fund Board. My husband, Dennis, and I have lived in the Westby, C**n Valley area since 1994. We have three children, Lucas, Dani and Ryan, who all attended Westby Area Schools.

I worked as a substitute teacher in Westby and surrounding districts for four years prior to working as an elementary teacher in both C**n Valley and Westby. I recently retired after working twenty-seven years in our district.

I attended Iowa State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I also attended the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and received my Master of Education in Professional Development.

It is my hope that my experience as a parent and educator will help me in my role as a board member. My children were fortunate to benefit from the scholarship opportunities this community has to offer. Our family is also honored to sponsor a scholarship, in memory of our son, Lucas. I look forward to learning more and contributing to the board and the community.
