Rogue Retreat

Rogue Retreat We create opportunities for those experiencing homelessness to have hope.

Rogue Retreat meets homeless people as they are (many with addiction and/or mental health challenges) and provides creative and temporary housing for them: a place to call home. With community partners and Rogue Retreat’s Community Support Specialists, Rogue Retreat collectively wraps itself around program participants delivering supportive services to help them achieve their highest potential.

💙 Thank You to Our Donors & Volunteers

We want to take a moment to say thank you to the incredible donors and volunteers who support Rogue Retreat.

Your impact can be seen every day in the lives of the people we serve.

The time you give tells our participants that people care. It shows them that their community is willing to show up, lend a hand, share a skill, or simply be there when they need someone in their corner.

Your generosity makes our programs possible. It helps provide meals, workforce development, one-on-one case management, peer support, housing assistance, and the many resources our participants need as they work toward stability and independence.

Every hour volunteered and every dollar donated becomes part of someone's journey toward a better future.

At Rogue Retreat, we believe everyone deserves a place to call home and an opportunity to begin again. Thank you for helping us turn that belief into action.

We couldn't do this work without you. 💙

Danielle's story is here. 🎥🧡

We recently introduced you to Danielle Nicely - a determined woman who has spent years overcoming barriers, rebuilding her life, pursuing her education, and finding a way forward.

Now, you can hear her story in her own words.

Danielle's journey through homelessness, recovery, and finding stability is a powerful reminder that people are more than the circumstances they have experienced.

She talks about the people who refused to give up on her, the importance of meeting people where they are, returning to school, rebuilding her confidence, and learning that she didn't have to face everything alone.

Today, Danielle is pursuing her bachelor's degree while working in human services and helping others on their own journeys.

We're proud to share her story.

Thank you, Senatorial Candidate Denise Krause!

We appreciate Candidate Denise Krause taking the time to tour Rogue Retreat's facilities, meet with our team, and learn more about the work happening every day to address homelessness in Southern Oregon.

Meaningful solutions begin with understanding the challenges firsthand. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our Housing First approach, our workforce development programs, and the many ways we work alongside our guests to create safety, stability, opportunity, and a path forward.

The challenges surrounding homelessness are complex, and there is no single solution. Addressing them will take collaboration, innovation, accountability, and a willingness to explore what works. We appreciate Candidate Krause's interest in learning more and exploring opportunities to make a difference at the state level.

Thank you for spending time with us and for being willing to listen, ask questions, and be part of the conversation. We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together toward stronger communities across Oregon.

💙 Everyone deserves a place to call home.

Meet Danielle. 🧡

Danielle describes herself as determined. And after hearing her story, it's hard to disagree.

Her journey through homelessness included years of surviving on the streets, overcoming substance use, navigating multiple barriers, and learning how to accept support from people who refused to give up on her.

Today, Danielle is doing something she once wasn't sure was possible: pursuing her bachelor's degree while working in human services, helping others through life skills training and job coaching.

But perhaps one of the most meaningful parts of Danielle's story is how she describes the transformation that happened along the way.

When she was living on the streets, survival meant keeping her guard up and being tough enough to get through another day.

Today, she says she is finally able to let that guard down.

"I went from Billy Goat Gruff to I get to be Danielle Nicely."

Her story is one of perseverance, second chances, community, and the people who see potential in us before we can see it in ourselves.

We're working on a video that tells more of Danielle's story, and we can't wait to share it with you.

For now, here's a glimpse into the journey of a woman who refused to give up on herself—and whose community refused to give up on her.

🍽️ Hope Kitchen on the Course!

Last week, our Hope Kitchen team had the opportunity to cater an event at Stone Ridge Golf Course. We couldn't stick around for the tournament, but we wanted to share a few photos of our interns and employees setting up and having a great time!

Looking for catering for your next event? Consider Hope Kitchen!

When you hire Hope Kitchen, you're not just getting a delicious meal. You're helping create opportunities for our participants. Our kitchen internship gives guests staying in our shelters and housing the chance to gain job skills, work experience, workplace habits, and confidence. Interns also receive support with resume building, interview preparation, and job searching.

It's one more way Rogue Retreat helps people move from safety and stability toward opportunity and independence.

💙 Good People. Great Conversations. Stronger Community.

Today, Hopeful Secondhand Thrift Shop by Rogue Retreat had the pleasure of hosting Greeters, a weekly networking event made possible The Chamber of Medford & Jackson County!

We love opportunities like this to open our doors and introduce more of our community to the work happening at Rogue Retreat. From our thrift shop to our housing and workforce development programs, every part of what we do is connected to our mission of creating opportunities for hope, stability, and a brighter future.

Thank you to the Medford Chamber for bringing the community together each week and for giving us the opportunity to host! And thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, made connections, and shared a few laughs with us.

A special thank you to Charlie with Rogue Tech Pros for sharing these photos and helping us preserve the moments. 📸

We're grateful for a community that continues to show up, connect, and work together to make Southern Oregon stronger. 💙
