Today marked the final club activities for the 2025-2026 school year with an amazing wrap up assembly with the Phoenix High School Pirates! Students gathered in the gym, wearing pink for their Sparrow Katy, and celebrated another fantastic club. Not only did the Pirates smash the community service challenge by serving 1,034 hours, they also spent the school year making a 17-year-old girl feel seen and cared for. Katy suffered a stroke in 2025 and was given a grim prognosis that she may never walk, speak, or be the girl she once was. Miracle after miracle Katy has proven those words wrong and continues to reclaim her life each day. Her journey, along with the hope and courage of her amazing family, deeply inspired the students of PHS. Throughout the school year, students organized a staff vs student basketball game, hosted the 3rd Annual Sparrow Talent show, hosted a Phoenix yard sale event, created connection with Katy, and poured love into this project. We are so proud of these young people. Way to go Pirates! Katy, I know you heard, but remember— once a Pirate, always a Pirate!

It’s a wrap for Talent Elementary School Mustangs and their club for Sparrow, Emiliano. Students met this sweet 3-year-old boy earlier this year and learned about his journey with epilepsy, visual impairment, cerebral palsy, and a few other medical conditions. Right away, students felt a deep compassion for him and made the choice to complete volunteer service hours that would unlock sponsored medical funds. In turn, these students learned the powerful lesson that joy is found in doing for others. A second grader wrote the following about her experience, “helping Emiliano made me feel happy and important. This club taught me to help others and to make someone smile.” Life truly CAN be that simple— work hard and make others smile.

We are so proud of the

Oakdale Middle School students gathered in the gym yesterday to celebrate a HUGE accomplishment. The gym was packed with island themed attire and eager students who were waiting to hear the final results of their hard work. This was the very first Sparrow club for the Oakdale Owls and they went BIG! Adopting two brothers, who each have their own unique medical journey. Typically, a club has one child and the students are challenged to complete 300 hours of community service, because there were two Sparrows, the students were challenged to 600 hours. To make the challenge even greater, they started the club mid-March. Giving them a quick 3 months to complete the task. During the assembly the announcement was made after an eager drum roll and student anticipation— together, as a united student-body they served 1,456 of community service hours!! Such an incredible job! This effort unlocked $6,000 for these two boys to continue receiving medical support. Oakdale students not only generously served their community, they also went over and above to create connection and community for their Sparrow family. Hosting BBQ’s, lunch and activity invites, creating beautiful cards and posters, and pouring their hearts into the reflection vouchers. This truly was a special club and such a GREAT start to a new Sparrow tradition and partnership with Oakdale Middle School. We are so proud of the ! Way to go!

Sparrow Clubs would like to say a special thank you to this amazing group of young people. These students are a part of Community 101 at Mae Richardson Elementary school and are learning incredible skills in the grant application and approval process. We had the honor and privilege of being invited into this process and then being awarded a $2,000 grant. We are very grateful and best of all, enjoyed getting to know these bright young people better. We look forward to a continued partnership with Mae Richardson.

Bellview Elementary School wrapped up their club on Friday for their Sparrow, Bella. Students met Bella earlier this year and learned about her medical journey with Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), dysphasia, hearing loss, and some other conditions. They also learned she will attend Bellview as a Kindergarten student next year. This club proved to be such a sweet welcoming for Bella as she prepares to become a future . The student-body accomplished a great goal this year, serving 301 community service hours that unlocked sponsored medical funds for Bella. This club was a beautiful example of the power of kindness. We are so proud of the Bobcats!

Ruch Outdoor Community School recently wrapped up their club for Sparrow Sterling in an all-school assembly that started off with a hall-lined parade of cheering students, colorful signs made for their buddy, and lots of love. The went over and above making this such a special club. A huge part of the success was the guidance from the Leadership students, who were eager to get a club started this year. We are so pleased with the service that was done, the compassion that was shown, and the connections that were made. Not only were the students deeply impacted by this group effort to make this sweet little boy feel loved, but Sterling and his family felt such a sweet connection to these K-8th graders. We are so proud of these young people for all their amazing choices, their willingness to serve others, and for choosing kindness. Well done cougars!

It’s a wrap for North Medford High School Tornadoes! What a FABULOUS school year filled with Sparrow this and Sparrow that. These students jumped all in this year for their precious Sparrow, Gabbie. Between several Dash-4-Cash events, Milli, football games, and meet & greets they kept this family on their toes. It was amazing watching these students come alive with compassion and do everything in their power to make a little girl understand how deeply she is loved, while also serving their community with 1,184 hours of volunteer work. We are so proud of NMHS. Thank you for being such a great example of what compassion and connection creates in people’s lives.

South Medford High School wrapped up an incredible club for their buddy, Sterling, yesterday. Each year the continue to impress us with their ability to fully dive into compassion and make a family be seen. It’s truly something special and something that stays with their Sparrow forever. Students served 1,366 community service hours that unlocked sponsored medical funds for Sterling. They also chose to host several fundraisers, games, events, and special ways of loving Sterling and his family throughout the 2025-2026 school year. We are so proud of SMHS and cherish this long-standing Sparrow legacy that you uphold with the utmost pride and standard. Well done Panthers!

It’s a wrap for St. Mary's School!! Another incredible year serving their 2025-2026 Sparrow and unlocking medical funds for a precious little girl called Kimmis. Early this school year students learned about Kimmis life-long battle with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome, an extremely rare blood disease. Right away they felt connected with her and were eager to jump into action blessing this family in every way they could. We are so proud of these students for their generous and servant-geared hearts. Kimmis and her family feel deeply loved.
