We are looking forward to another fantastic club with the Pirates this year. What an AWESOME group of Leadership students Phoenix High School has. We look forward to introducing the entire school to Sparrow Isrrael soon.

It was another awesome Black and Blue Bowl and we continue to be so thrilled with the love and care these two schools show their Sparrows each year. This year North Medford High School is supporting a young girl named Bella, and South Medford High School is supporting a young girl named Birdie. These two amazing clubs love to kick off their Sparrow experience by inviting their Sparrow families to attend this long-standing traditional game of North vs South.
It’s always such a great time!!

I cherish getting to work with young people and watching them step into leadership positions. This year I get to work with these two lovely young ladies, Emmy and Evelyn, who are serving as the Sparrow Ambassadors for Mae Richardson Elementary school. They both did such a great job presenting (in front of their peers and parent guests— an intimidating task). I’m so proud of them. I will add, an even extra special tie— Evelyn (on the left) was one of our Sparrow’s for the 2023-2024 school year and fought her own courageous battle against a cancerous tumor. She now is thrilled to be on this side and offer her service and compassion as we embrace MRE’s Sparrow, Rowan.

Life— it has a way of sprouting up flowers, doesn’t it!!

Today’s assembly had the perfect intro being that students got to come to school in full costume and dress up as their favorite characters and superheroes. Mae Richardson Elementary students gathered in the gym to launch their 2026-2027 club for Sparrow Rowan. We discussed superheroes and talked about how we all have the opportunity to be super and a hero for someone else— and all it takes is us choosing kindness, compassion, and service to others. Rowan’s medical journey opened our eyes, and our hearts to understand we just never know what someone might be facing, but we get to come alongside him and his family and remind them their not alone. Throughout this school year, these K-5th graders will be serving our community in an effort to unlock sponsored medical funds for Rowan to continue to get the best care possible. Let me just say— these Rams are fired up and ready to get straight to work. We are so excited to see all the goodness unfold.

McLoughlin Middle School Leadership students met with their Sparrow family today and learned all about this incredible kid, Harrison. There are some SUPER fun things coming to the this club year and we can’t wait to see it all unfold!!

The best part of my day— seeing our Sparrow Benji today and readopting him for a club this year. I first met him when he was 3 months old— he’s 4 now!!! He absolutely melts me. I can’t wait to get him connected to his club!!

What are you carrying today? Cascade Christian High School & Middle School students made the choice to carry compassion today as they officially launched their 2026-2027 club for Sparrow Landen. Students gathered for Chapel and got to learn about the medical journey Landen has been enduring. This family is already so precious to this school community, as they adopted Carsen (Landen’s younger brother) two years ago, when he was battling cancer.

Landen’s story is one he hopes will serve as a reminder to others to never give up, to push through hard times, and to carry compassion because you never know what someone is battling. Let compassion set the tone of your heart.

We are thrilled to watch these students come alive with an attitude of service and empathy. We know great things are in store for this club this year.

The news is spreading quickly, so we feel that I need to make this post to confirm what I can confirm, while still respecting the privacy of the family involved.

We can confirm that one of the children shot yesterday at Silver Rail Elementary School, in Bend, is one of our Sparrow kids. Saylor is 7 years old and was the Sparrow at Bend Senior High School two years ago. She is a beam of light and made a tremendous impact on this entire student body. She is currently in critical condition at a hospital in Portland and we are all praying fervently for her recovery.

We have reached out to Saylor's family to let them know that Sparrow Clubs is standing by, ready to help in whatever way we possibly can. Our plan is to set up a specific donation campaign, with 100% of donations going to Saylor's family. We will update as soon as possible.
