Hooked on Life Our passion for fly fishing has created a mission to reach into the lives of Teens. Teaching and mentoring them through life in the ways of Jesus!

WHO WE ARE

Hooked on life is a ministry dedicated to reach into the lives of teens by using our passion for the outdoors and fly fishing. It’s out in the wild, away from the world that one has the chance to discover the most important part of himself. We desire to be a light to teens lives and build a friendship with each of them. We are following the ways of Jesus and doing just what He’s called

us to do. We are Fishers of men, style! Teaching teens to fly fish is just a bonus, but a special talent they can use for the rest of their life. OUR MISSION

Through fly fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities we seek to develop and maintain a mentoring relationship with Teens. Most importantly, however, we share the good news of the Gospel and tell the story of Christ's death and resurrection. HOW WE WORK

We offer a wide variety of events and trips that cater to all skill levels. Starting from the ground up, we teach the fundamentals of fly fishing in free classes taught by our staff. We also teach the finer, more advanced aspects of fly fishing, and everything in between! If fishing isn't your thing, we also have hiking trips and other outdoor events to sign up for! MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Through Hooked On Life, we are using our gifts to not only give others a chance to experience our passion, but also inspire others to show their gifts to the world. We want to break free of any constraints and use our unfettered desire to make a direct impact on the lives of others. We hope that by going out on a limb to let our own light shine, others are inspired to do the same.

Had the chance to hangout with a bunch of teens this summer and go camping. Lots of amazing times. Check out this video from one of the trips! The nice fall days have slipped away. Warm Jackets and beanies are our attire. The spawning Salmon have now died and are laying along the banks, slowly being eaten by their prey. The fishing days have become shorter and harder. This hasn't stopped us from getting ou there. We've been doing a little fishing and also duck hunting has become a new hobby. This is a post to cover some of the outings we've been having in December so far.

I got connected with Dylan Pearce this year through Social Media and others teens that fish with us. Dylan had been antsy to get me out to some of his favorite water for browns and rainbow trout. So finally it came time to go together. We explored this local watershed a couple times together and found success every time we went.

I met Chris through leader Shawn Randles. He came on our first annual Hooke On Life camping trip. Click the linked to read more about that trip. Chris had been dying to catch a steelhead. After the Hooked On Life trip he bought his first fly rod and was ready to put it to test. I had an afternoon availble that fit both of our schedules, so we hit the Rogue for an afternoon hoping to find some fish.
