HCVSG has been invited to speak at McDonough First United Methodist Church about the Veteran programs we provide.
We’re grateful for the chance to share our mission with the community.

🇺🇸 At the Henry County Veterans Support Group, the flags displayed at the front of our building serve as a year‑round tribute to **all veterans** and the **military branches of service**.

We recognize each branch during its birthday week by flying that branch’s flag along with the **POW/MIA (Prisoners of War / Missing in Action)** flag at the front entrance. This past week, we honored the United States Navy during its birthday on October 13.

On **Veterans Day** and **Memorial Day**, we display **all six military branch flags** along with the POW/MIA flag.
On other national observances — such as **Flag Day**, **July 4th**, and during **special events** hosted at our facility — we post **six United States flags** in the ground display, in addition to the U.S. flag that flies daily on the building.

These displays are more than decorations. They are a visible reminder of our commitment to honor every branch of service, recognize all veterans, and ensure their contributions are never forgotten.

21 September 2026 - A heartfelt thank you to Jillian from the Central GA EMC Foundation, who visited today to present their annual $3,000 donation to HCVSG.

Because of partners like EMC, we are able to keep our doors open and offer free, life‑changing support to veterans and their families:

Assistance securing VA benefits

Resources for homeless and at‑risk veterans

Hot breakfasts and food distribution through our Outreach Kitchen

Clothing, shoes, and hygiene kits from our Clothing Closet

Support groups for veterans, women, and families

Your generosity strengthens our mission and uplifts those who have served our nation. Thank you for standing with us.
