Earlier today these Alleghany county deputies graduated from Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy.

The new Deputies will now train alongside a field training officer for approximately 8 weeks.
The Alleghany County Sheriffs Office is proud of their accomplishments.

Congrats Rikki!

These are always a proud time for our office and the Deputy. Please help me congratulate Dep. Rikki Guerrero as she is promoted to the rank of Master Deputy!

Master Deputy Guerrero is instrumental in our Community Trust Division, where she is part of our TRIAD, Certified Crime prevention assessments, Star Cadet Advisor and a liaison to many other programs.

We thank you Rikki for stepping up into the next step of your career!

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Justin L. White to the rank of Lieutenant with the James City County Police Department.

Lt. White has served our community since 2013, bringing experience from his early career in Newport News and growing into a variety of leadership roles within the Department. He has contributed significantly to patrol operations, the Field Training Program, SWAT leadership, mentoring initiatives, and departmental training efforts. His commitment to professionalism, integrity, and team development has been evident throughout his career.

His service has been recognized through honors reflecting courage, teamwork, and dedication, including the Police Chief’s Award, the Medal of Valor, the Lifesaving Award, Officer of the Year distinctions, and multiple commendations, acknowledgments that highlight the impact of his work both within the department and in service to the community.

Lt. White has continued to advance his expertise through extensive training and instructor certifications in fi****ms, tactical entry, leadership development, and ALERRT instruction. His efforts as a trainer and mentor have strengthened teams across the organization.

We appreciate Lt. White’s continued commitment to James City County and look forward to the leadership he will bring in his new role. Congratulations!

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office would like to welcome Deputy Eric Durkot to our Patrol Division!

Deputy Durkot joins our agency after successfully completing his law enforcement academy training at the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy (RRCJA), allowing him to transition directly into our field training program.

Deputy Durkot brings more than nine years of corrections experience from the state of New Jersey, where he also served as an instructor at a state corrections academy. His previous experience and background in training will be valuable assets as he begins his law enforcement career here in Orange County.

Deputy Durkot and his family have chosen to make Orange County their new home, and we look forward to seeing him build relationships with the community he will now serve.
