What a beautiful boy he is - Tubbs is enjoying learning life and being able to have training that allows him to be the breed he is. This is why we are so adamant about our adoption requirements, this is not a dog who would be suitable for apartment living and yes, applications have been submitted from apartment renters. This is also why a home assessment is part of the application process. It is our job and commitment to find the best home for the animals that we save.

Guess His Breed Update- we apologize for the delay in confirming Tubb's DNA results. We had a lot of good guesses and some of you nailed it- this boy is 75% GSP, German Shorthaired Pointer and those feet..... drum roll... Great Pyrenees. That double dew claw was a big red flag. Tubb's is a great boy and his foster mom is learning more and more about his personality everyday which will help us ensure we choose the best home for him. A home visit/interview will be required for this adoption.

What a great day we had at our first Clays For Canines fundraiser at Cherokee Rose . A big shout out to our Top Sponsors Dwight Lewis & Ann Sullivan Lewis. Thank you Shane Shane Preston for giving me, Shenan Shenan Moser Griffin the visual for this event. Appreciate all of our sponsors- could not do this without your support. Our volunteers- thank you for your continued hard work and dedication. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go into our building fund which will help us get closer to getting our new kennels built. We appreciate each and every one of you and will need your ongoing support through this process. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. PS- our poster mascot and former resident, Miss Reba- and her mama participated in the event. Thank you to everyone who came out today. We cannot do this without you.. Cathy Strong, Kevin Callison
