Who Is the Haitian Immigrant? By our very own

The Haitian immigrant is not simply a person who comes to the United States seeking a better economic situation. Nor is it simply someone who asks for help. The Haitian immigrant is also someone who creates possibilities for others: worker, student, entrepreneur, professional, parent, educator, volunteer, community leader, an active agent of social transformation.

🍂 HAPPY FALL! | SUMMER RECAP ☀️

As we officially welcome fall, we are taking a moment to look back at an incredibly busy and worthwhile summer at The Route!

From our summer programming at Americana and Center of Worship and Deliverance, to our 4th of July Community Celebration, Back-to-School, meetings with Haitian pastors and community leaders, Celebrating Our Neighborhoods, Give for Good, and so much more. This summer was all about serving, connecting, and strengthening our community.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners, sponsors, volunteers, and community members who made it all possible.

A new season is here, and there is more ahead! Join us, volunteer, partner with us, attend an upcoming event, or support our work.

Together, let’s keep building roads to hope and possibilities.

Don’t just take our word for it - here’s what John Koehlinger from KRM has to say about the work we’re doing in Louisville’s Haitian community.
