According to the hospitality visionary Horst Schultz, excellence isn’t built through rigid expectations - but through trust.

At the Ritz Carlton, employees were empowered to spend up to $2,000 to create memorable experiences for guests without needing management approval. Our own social media manager experienced this firsthand while working at the hotel, surprising a guest’s dog with a birthday cake after learning the pup had celebrated its birthday there year after year.

This lesson extends far beyond hospitality. Excellence happens when leaders listen carefully, respond creatively and empower others to take ownership.

While celebrating a dog’s birthday may seem like a small gesture, it answers a much bigger question: How can I help others feel seen, valued and supported?

Behind every great leader is someone who poured into them before they even knew their own potential. For Dream Big Darling, that foundation belongs to the legendary Florence Pramberger, the true inspiration behind our FLOurish Graduation Program.

As our incredible co-creator Rona Millinger Rona Millinger shares in the video below, Florence had an unmatched gift for spotting raw talent and nurturing it. She poured herself into people so deeply that they couldn’t help but realize how special they were—and in a beautiful, full-circle twist of fate, Florence always called those she mentored her “Darlings.”

Rona was one of those fortunate enough to be personally mentored by Florence, and we are so proud to keep that chain of mentorship alive today.

Did you know that the most powerful part of communication is actually silent? 🤫💡

Today’s Hard Skill Session was hosted by and focused on active listening and bold communication.

It was such a profound reminder that being a great communicator isn’t just about waiting for your turn to speak.

We broke down how to level up our connections by:

✨ Being fiercely curious & asking deeper questions.
✨ Mirroring the energy of the person across from us.
✨ Being mindful of our physical presence.

The reality is, our body language, our tone, and our subtle responses often speak much louder than our words.

Case in point: swipe through these photos! These look at those universal, perceptive facial expressions we all know so well.

Whether you’re happy, sad, locked-in with interest, or completely exhausted, we all have expressions that map our inner thoughts. Our physical presence speaks volumes!

Today’s Creating Organizational Clarity session with Rachel Rey was incredibly powerful. ✨

The conversation centered around a simple but transformational truth inspired by Brené Brown: “Clarity is kindness.”

Rachel reminded us that leadership is not defined by title or the number of direct reports someone manages. Every individual inside an organization has the ability to lead, create clarity, improve focus, and positively impact outcomes.

The session explored a practical framework centered around:

✔️ Identifying the problem
✔️ Discussing the challenge
✔️ Collaboratively solving it

When teams operate with more clarity, alignment, and communication, organizations become stronger from the inside out.
