On Tuesday Feb. 24, the Leavenworth City Commission will meet to hear testimony about granting a Special Use Permit to Core Civic to reopen its 1050 bed prison as an ICE jail. That could unleash ICE on our community kidnapping our neighbors and creating havoc in our streets. The commissioners need to understand that this affects ALL of us, not just the Leavenworth city treasury.
