For those of you not at last night's Ring 129 meeting there is some important and exciting news that needs to be shared.
Some of you may have noticed the "For Sale" signs for the last year or two along the building where we meet. Well the building was finally sold, and this month will be our last meeting at the Green Room Burgers & Beer location.
But do not fear, we, along with the Ring 129 board have already secured a new location for April through the end of the year. Starting in April our meetings will be at The Bowery, https://www.thewestportbowery.com/ which is the event venue attached to Westport Flea Market. You can enter through the restaurant, or we will have a separate entrance at the rear of the building adjacent to the parking lot.
For those of you that don't know, Westport Flea Market is a cash only establishment if you want food of drinks. There is an ATM located in the restaurant if you forget cash. There is also a bar in The Bowery which is operated by Westport Flea Market and will be available during the KC Magic Showcase shows so no one has to leave to get drinks.
So that you are aware, the parking lot is technically owned by the Westport Hotel next door. When they get really busy, which generally happens during the weekends in the warmer months & holidays, there is not enough space to accommodate both guests of the Hotel & the Flea Market/Bowery. So when it gets busy the hotel has started towing cars. There is nearby street parking and a parking lot one block west of Westport Flea Market in the Subway/Sarpino's/Sport Clips lot. It probably won't affect us since we meet on Thursday but be aware that if the lot is starting to look full, try street parking along Roanoke or the lot one block west.

Meeting announcement went out earlier today. A few things to think about before Thursday's meeting: Outdoor events, magic day at the Renfest, and an open session for anything you want to discuss from tricks, moves or maybe you just need some advice.

Thursday 6:30p at the Green Room Burgers and Beer, 4010 Pennsylvania in Westport.

The club meeting is one week from tonight (Thursday), as well as the big KC Magic Showcase. Come on out and join the fun!

Our first KC Magic Showcase of 2025 is Thursday the 20th of February! Yes, it's cold...but it'll be smokin' hot in the Kick Comedy Theater!
Appearing will be your emcee Donny Dollarhyde. Performers will include Donny, Jack Cunningham, and the one and only Matt Gurley!

Doors at 7:45 pm, showtime at 8:00. Location: The Kick Comedy Club in Westport (4010 Pennsylvania Ave KCMO, 64111). Enter through the Green Room Burgers and Beer. Grab a drink on the way in!

Hey friends, It's the last KC MAGIC SHOWCASE of 2024! If you're interested in seeing me do my magic and mind reading, please consider coming to the show. It'll be at Kick Comedy Theater, 4010 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64111 (enter through the Green Room).

The show starts at 8:00 pm. We begin seating at 7:45 pm. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at the door.
