Birdie went on an adventure to Hays Nature Preserve. She’s not 100% comfortable with car trips and outside adventures yet, but I think she enjoyed herself. She took a big nap in my lap when we got home 🤍

UDATE: We are at the clinic now and will post donation information shortly.
URGENT!!!
We just had this sweet baby surrendered to us. He is in VERY critical condition and will need to go to the ER clinic ASAP. The only way we can do this is if we can get donations toward his bill. I will post more information when we have him there and the number to call.
We need all the help we can get for this precious baby.

In parts of London, trees at dusk glow vividly green not from leaves, but from tens of thousands of ring-necked parakeets. Once pets that escaped or were released, these birds now swarm the city’s parks and streets. From afar, branches seem leafy, but up close, they pulse with life, squawking and shifting in a surreal, almost otherworldly spectacle.

Facts! Many bird toys are made with colorful dyed parts that many parrots find unsettling - the colors attract our human eyes but in the wild much of what a parrot shreds and plays with have bland or natural colors.
It is essential for captive parrots to have toys to destroy so to help desensitize them to the bright colors we can ‘play’ with the toys ourselves where your Birdie can see you before introducing the new toy into their cage. That will make it look safe and interesting (what’s yours is theirs😂)❣️
Please know you may have to ‘play’ with new toys in front of them several times over several days depending on on how apprehensive your Birdie is🦜
